Appointments

Your first general acupuncture appointment:

 

Ahead of your first appointment, you will fill out an in-depth questionnaire about the reason you are coming for acupuncture, alongside details of your medical history and lifestyle. This shall be reviewed by me before our appointment, with any follow-up questions from your responses asked when we meet. You will then have a bespoke treatment, with time on the treatment table lasting roughly 30 minutes.

Your first fertility acupuncture appointment:

 

With so much ground to cover for a new fertility client, our initial consultation is carried out over video. Ahead of this, you will fill out an in-depth questionnaire about your journey so far, alongside details of any investigations you have had, plus a deep dive into medical history and lifestyle. We will then meet online to discuss anything that arises from your responses, and to ask a few more questions. A report with initial thoughts, advice and suggestions for further investigations will then be provided. 

The next appointment will be face-to-face, and it is here we will start our acupuncture treatments which will be carefully formulated following our initial discussion. 

 

Advice:

 

Have a light snack or meal an hour or two before your appointment.

Wear loose clothing that can be pushed up above your elbows and knees – this can reduce the need to remove clothing entirely. However towels will be provided to cover you, so don’t worry if you’re wearing something different.

Following your appointment drink plenty of water, and avoid vigorous exercise and alcohol. You may feel a little tired or sleepy afterwards – please be aware of this if you are planning on driving or operating heavy machinery.
